Your Numbers and Your Story Matter to Us

In my professional career, I’ve learned a lot about money, business, and taxes; most importantly, I’ve learned a lot about people. A relationship with a great accountant can be a lifelong partnership; that’s what I create with my clients. Each client relationship has shown me I am more than just a paid professional to the people I work alongside; I’m a trusted partner helping them move confidently toward their dreams.

I’m a hands-on accountant who loves to dive into the numbers, and my experience with teaching accounting helps me ensure those numbers make sense to my clients. My practice has grown organically over the years, and I continue to work with clients from all backgrounds and circumstances.

If you’re looking for a professional you can count on for down-to-earth advice and approachable accounting, let’s connect. Reach out so we can book some time together.

About Stacey Cooper

Meet Stacey

Stacey Boychuk Cooper, BComm, MPAcc, CPA, CA

Stacey's lifelong passion for learning and sharing her knowledge with clients, colleagues, and students makes her a valued partner for small businesses and a strong resource for individuals. She enjoys the rapid, ever-changing flow of information in accounting, always seeking out new information to stay on top of the latest requirements and regulations.

Originally from Saskatchewan, Stacey moved to Edmonton in 1999 to pursue her education, achieving a Bachelor of Commerce with Distinction in Accounting from the University of Alberta. After obtaining a Master of Professional Accounting from the University of Saskatchewan and her Chartered Accountant designation, Stacey decided to give back to the accounting community through teaching. She has been an instructor at NAIT’s JR Shaw School of Business since 2009, teaching Introductory and Advanced Taxation courses. She also serves as NAIT’s media relations contact for finance and taxation topics. Stacey has a wealth of experience in estate planning, corporate reorganizations, tax compliance, and providing tax advice to owner-managed businesses and individuals.

Stacey is well-connected in the Western Canadian arts community. She has served as the Treasurer of the Varscona Theatre Alliance for ten years, including during the rebuild of the theatre and its associated capital campaign. Stacey’s passion for the arts transverses her private and professional life, and she has previously served on the Board of Directors for Workshop West Theatre, Dance Alberta, and the Ukrainian Cheremosh Society.

In her spare time, Stacey continues to dance and play the piano and spends plenty of time driving her three children to a variety of activities. Their active lifestyle often takes them on the road for adventures, travelling, and community events.

What You Can Expect When You Work with Me

Down-to-Earth,
Compassionate Service

You can feel comfortable telling me about what’s going on in your life, your dreams, and what types of fears or concerns are holding you back. Many clients have shared these details with me over the years as we both braved the challenges and celebrated the wins.

Numbers that
Make Sense

Many years of experience as a teacher in tax accounting have led me to understand what people truly want to know and how I can explain it in a straightforward way. Whether you have a deep understanding and appreciation for accounting or want the simplified version that gives you the next best steps, let’s talk it through!

Flexibility

Thanks to many years of experience, I can be flexible with clients, meeting them where they are and delivering on their specific needs. Some clients prefer to work with me closely at every stage, while others trust the process and would prefer to have it “done for them”. Whatever your preference is, just let me know upfront, and I’ll be happy to accommodate it.
